Radio
Radio was my first true passion. As a young boy, I cherished the time spent listening to broadcast radio. As a teenager, I used the handle ‘Colonel C’ while operating a CB radio, monitored emergency frequencies on my radio scanner and pursued jobs at FCC licensed radio stations.
I would work at radio stations, WVCH, WEEE, WTLN, WCHE and WJBR. I would become the general manager of WMPH radio station c/o Brandywine School District as an educator. I later helped build new studios and automation systems for WMPH 88.1 FM at Thomas McKean High School. I would assist many other radio stations over the years in various functions. In 2008, I founded Dance Radio Network LLC which would transmit content to affiliate stations across North America via satellite Galaxy 23.
- Obtained my Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit as issued by the Federal Communications Commission
- Designated Chief Operator of WMPH radio station (1993-2010) in accordance with FCC rule 47 C.F.R. § 73.1870
- Earned my Amateur Radio call sign KC3BDV — Kilo Charlie Tree Bravo Delta Victor -.- -.-. …– -… -.. …-
Meetings & Events
I have worked hundreds of events throughout my career as a photographer, videographer, disc jockey, photo booth attendant, planner and even journalist. I have both planned and worked many radio station remote broadcasts, concerts and special events.
While working with a school district, I planned many school dances, galas, reunions, festivals and other special events. I was the chairperson who planned the school’s 175th anniversary celebration simultaneously at three locations with continuous shuttle bus service.
In 2010, I was contacted by the National Association of Broadcasters to host their official Radio Show after party in Washington DC. Dance Radio Network (DRN) hosted the official Radio Show Afterhours party at FUR nightclub in Washington DC. All attendees of the Radio Show were admitted free. Complimentary shuttle service was provided by HD Radio. Metromix DC covered the event too. Guests also had the opportunity to have a photo booth session with the performing artists.
I have attended and/or exhibited with over 50 conferences, trade shows and expos nationally. I had also been a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). I have attended and/or exhibited with over 50 conferences, trade shows and expos nationally. I had also been a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). I have participated in many other panel discussions, roundtables, webinars, education lectures, exclusive networking opportunities and special events.
I began as a wedding photographer’s assistant while still in high school. I would later either capture the memories or create the entertainment for countless events at many venues in multiple states throughout the northeast. I have worked festivals, meetings, expos, weddings, corporate events, various parties, music industry gatherings, formal galas, reunions and even school dances. When moving to Florida, I would later work in the events department at Universal Orlando Resort.
Retail
I have always enjoyed mixing part-time customer service jobs with professional career for personal balance, learning how other organizations operate and love of casual conversation. All of these jobs have helped in my thinking processes to solve problems and sharpen social skills.
I have worked retail part-time at Walt Disney World, Super*Fresh Food Markets, Circuit City, Sears and Best Buy.
Attractions
I have always had a great fondness for parks and attractions. I was born on the very day construction began on Walt’s Florida Project… Walt Disney World. Lenape Amusement Park in West Chester, Pennsylvania was my first experience however… at only 8 days old! Since then, I have become a connoisseur for the attractions industry with first visits to Hershey Park in 1973, Six Flags Great Adventure in 1974, Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood in summer 1975 and Walt Disney World in December 1975. I would visit Universal Studios Florida in 1990 just three months after their inaugural opening. Years later in 2025, I would visit Epic Universal several times during team member previews prior to opening to the general public.
Theme Park work experiences have been part-time and seasonal. More recently, these opportunities have been both a part of my extended working sabbatical in Florida and enjoyable ways to keep busy during the global COVID-19 pandemic. I have attended International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Conference and Trade Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando – November 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. I also am on the IAAPA membership roster.
As an experienced business professional, I have performed various tasks at the parks with a keen eye for operational detail while taking lots of notes. I strategically strived to perform as many roles as possible to learn the operations. It has been interesting to compare and contrast the internal workings of Walt Disney World (4), Universal Orlando Resort (3) and SeaWorld Orlando (1). Incidentally, I have had one-on-one scheduled meetings with vice presidents of all three theme park companies.
FUN FACT: On December 15, 2025, I achieved an unusual distinction by visiting ALL 8 Orlando theme parks in a single day!
I have been a special event volunteer for Give Kids The World. I have also been a ride operator for their attractions including Jurassic Junction Railroad, Lori’s Magical Flight and Kelly’s Sunny Swing.
Film & Television
I have a passion for film, storytelling and Hollywood special effects. I was taught studio production at Disney University (1990) and later worked at the Disney-MGM Studios directly on location for The All-New Mickey Mouse Club (1991). I visited several movie studios (i.e. Universal Studios both in California and Florida, Old Tucson Studios in Arizona) & production companies (i.e. NFL Films and Lucasfilm).
My first exposure to the world of film was at age 6 touring Universal Studios Hollywood. Production of The Rockford Files with James Garner was happening that day. I was just a young boy when family visited Old Tucson Studios in 1983. I got to see some of the filming sets & props of Cannonball Run II (1984) and stood by actor Dom DeLuise. Years later while in Nashville, I sat in the studio audience for a TV show taping. I have been on the sets of several productions including the 1990 film Rocky V and the 1994 film Renaissance. In 2002, I was given a personal tour of Skywalker Ranch and Skywalker Sound meeting George Lucas. Incidentally, I love movie music with composer John Williams being my favorite. I have seen him conducting his film scores in concert several times including Boston and Washington DC.
I am a former Member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). I attended the 134th SMPTE Technical Conference and Equipment Exhibit in Toronto (November 1992). In addition to studying film and keeping current with movie industry news, I was instructed in the Film Director’s Craft at the International Film Workshops (2003) in Maine. I had also tested on the campus of the University of Southern California for their film school.
I have been given personal studio tours of Philadelphia television stations WCAU-10 (NBC), KYW-3 (CBS), WTXF-29 (FOX), and WHYY-12 (PBS). In the early 1990s, I worked at WTGI-61 (Telemundo) as master control operator.
One of my favorite movies is actually a story of the early days of film. Hugo {2011) is a Martin Scorsese film. The fictional tale does shine a light on a real pioneer of the motion picture artform, Georges Méliès. I am a big fan of classic cinema from the golden age of Hollywood as frequently seen on Turner Classic Movies. I enjoyed touring the CNN complex in Atlanta and NBC Studio Tour in New York.
I taught film and television workshops through the Broadcast Learning Center of the Brandywine School District. I was the executive producer of Mount Pleasant Films.
Later in my career, I would work at both Universal Studios Florida and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Early Career
I began working early in life. Aside from shoveling snow, cutting grass, and other odd jobs for neighbors, I worked a booth for the traveling company Mountain Trout Fishing at the Granite Run Mall in June 1985. This was only a temporary job but was my first real paycheck and initial experience dealing with the public. I baited hooks for customers, weighed the fish, and announced using the local public address system’s microphone. I was also a newspaper deliverer for the Wilmington News Journal (November 1985 – June 1986). While a newspaper deliverer, I devised a marketing plan to increase subscriptions on my route. I wrote then printed a personal letter on behalf of the newspaper service and delivered to every address in my zone. In 1986, I worked several months for Mike’s Janitorial Service cleaning the Stillman Volvo dealership.
As a volunteer in my church sound room, I knew someone that helped land my first job at a commercial radio station. In March 1987 at only age seventeen, I began working for WVCH 740 AM radio station (1987-1990) then their sister station WEEE 89.5 FM. During the summer of 1987, I did some temporary work for the Wilmington Dry Goods at Tri-State Mall. In early 1988 and a senior in high school, I began part-time work for Tigue’s Pharmacy. After only a couple months, I left the pharmacy for a better opportunity to work at Super*Fresh Food Markets (1988-1992).

As part of the 1990 Walt Disney World College Program, living at Vista Way Apartments and working primarily at EPCOT was a fantastic life-changing experience. Later becoming a WDWCT, I also worked during the summer of 1991 and Christmas holidays through 1996.
When I returned to the northeast, I finished his college education. During this time, I also picked up part-time work at WCHE 1520 AM radio station and WTGI-61 television station.

Additionally in 1995, I began working as a sales counselor at Circuit City Stores, Inc.
From 1996-1997, I worked part-time as a skycap for ITS at Philadelphia International Airport (Continental Airlines). I later returned in 2004 to Primeflight Aviation Services at Philadelphia International Airport to skycap (Southwest Airlines). I was also the disc jockey that year for Southwest Airlines Christmas party.
Under the name Colonel C, I have provided sound reinforcement and audio recordings for bands, recitals, and concerts. I have been a mobile disc jockey for weddings and special events. In addition to being an emcee, I have been a photo booth attendant, provided lights and uplighting for special occasions, and served as both an event photographer and videographer.
I had been a professional consultant to WVLT 92.1 FM (Vineland, NJ), WMHS 88.1 FM at Thomas McKean High School (Wilmington, DE), and the radio program at Cypress Creek High School (Orlando, FL). For WMHS, I was the engineer that re-built their studios. As an audio engineer, I had installed sound systems for other organizations and provided sound reinforcement to bands for live performances.
Principal Career
I was the general manager, media center coordinator, and educator for WMPH 91.7 FM radio station at Mount Pleasant High School (c/o Brandywine School District) from 1993-2010.
I later founded the Dance Radio Network LLC.
In 2011, I filled in as information technology consultant to Call Center Services, Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware. Later that year, I was appointed interim news director on WJBR 99.5 FM that entailed researching and reporting the news on the air. I also had been the disc jockey for some WJBR events.
Transitioning from Dance Radio Network LLC, I took a part-time sales associate job at the Sears Concord Mall consumer electronics department in May 2012. Incidentally, I attended the grand opening ceremony of this store in Wilmington, Delaware as a young customer on September 22, 1992.
In June 2012, I created Go Far PR, LLC. This is a public relations and promotions agency specializing in creative marketing and multimedia solutions.
In 2013, Continuing with Colonel C Productions and Sears Holdings, I became a certified clinical hypnotherapist listed with First State Hypnosis.

Later Career
In October 2015, I relocated to Orlando, Florida for my working sabbatical in Florida “…for Philosophical Studies and Amusements” (Benjamin Franklin describing his midlife sabbatical). I transferred to part-time computer sales at Best Buy Millenia Mall while working part-time attractions at SeaWorld Orlando. I would later transfer to the Best Buy Davenport store in 2018.
In 2016, I would begin an alliance with American Wedding Group to pick up supplemental DJ gigs in Florida.
In March 2018, I took a seasonal job in the events department at Universal Orlando Resort.
In July 2021, I would once again return to Walt Disney World.
